Funding Servicer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Funding Servicer to join our busy real estate law office in Needham. This role is a key part of the real estate closing process , ensuring accuracy and timeliness in funding, disbursements, and post-closing file management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate funding, mortgage servicing, title insurance, or banking operations , with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workload under strict daily deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and process funding packets daily (40–100 files per day).
• Review files for accuracy, including dates, amounts, initials, and signatures.
• Confirm wires are received by lenders and issue cleared checks to the appropriate parties.
• Prepare and send overnight packages to borrowers, creditors, and lenders.
• Assist with ordering payoffs, taxes, and opening new real estate files.
• Review commitments and send closing documents back to lenders.
• Collaborate with paralegals to resolve any file discrepancies.
• Ensure all closing and funding documents are finalized and moved to funding.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment .
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite .
• Professional written communication skills required.
• Prior experience with Qualia software preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate closings, title processing, mortgage funding, or banking.
• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
