Lead Platform Engineer - ServiceNow/Jira
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer- ServiceNow/Jira in Boston, MA (4 days onsite). The team emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation, working across global stakeholders to build systems that are resilient, adaptable, and aligned with evolving enterprise needs. Summary: We are seeking a Lead ServiceNow Developer to own the design, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise service management platforms, with a focus on ServiceNow and Jira ecosystems. This role will play a key part in developing integrations, governing CMDB data, and improving workflows across engineering, IT operations, and enterprise systems. This individual will drive automation, optimize service management processes, and ensure seamless interoperability between core platforms. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as technical owner for ServiceNow and Jira platforms, including Jira Service Management
- Design and implement integrations across ServiceNow, Jira, and CMDB using APIs, webhooks, and integration tools
- Ensure data consistency and integrity across systems, particularly for incidents, changes, and asset records
- Collaborate with engineering, IT operations, compliance, and business teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Establish best practices for automation, workflows, templates, permissions, and escalation processes
- Lead platform upgrades, configuration reviews, performance tuning, and ongoing system optimization
- Manage vendor relationships, including licensing, support, and roadmap alignment
- Maintain platform security, access controls, and audit capabilities in partnership with security teams
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems or platform engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Jira administration and development
- Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with Jira and CMDB environments
- Deep understanding of ITIL frameworks, including incident, change, and problem management
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell) and REST API integrations
- Experience supporting Agile/DevOps environments and enterprise tooling ecosystems
- Knowledge of CMDB, asset management, and infrastructure mapping concepts is preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow, Atlassian)
- Experience with CMDB data modeling and lifecycle management
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration into enterprise systems
