Operating Room RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2470 - $2540
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 3, 2025 – December 3, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15), 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Night shifts with weekend rotation and on-call requirements (12-hour call shifts)
• Healthcare Setting: Level I Trauma Center, 13 operating rooms
• Patient Population: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Location: Worcester, MA 01655 (Central Massachusetts healthcare jobs)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience, including Level I Trauma
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Ability to circulate and scrub in multiple surgical specialties
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Compliance with all healthcare onboarding and documentation requirements

OR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub in a variety of surgical specialties: transplant (liver, kidney), endovascular, vascular emergencies, neurosurgery, trauma (MVA, gunshot, stabbings), general surgery, pediatrics, microvascular, orthopedic trauma, plastics, ENT, and more
• Participate in weekend rotations and on-call shifts as scheduled
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Operate specialized equipment: fracture and spine OR beds, microscopes, brain navigation systems, Argon beam, ligasures, ESUs, Neptune suctions
• Adhere to infection control, fire safety, and universal protocol procedures
• Support patient care for all age groups, from infants to geriatrics
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and proper specimen handling/labeling
