Marketing Coordinator
MMWEC is seeking a proactive Marketing Coordinator to drive our corporate communications and digital presence. In this role, you will act as a key architect for the NextZero brand and MMWEC’s external outreach. This is a unique opportunity to manage diverse marketing projects from social media strategy and graphic design to high-level publication production supporting both our internal strategic objectives and our Member light departments across Massachusetts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Digital Strategy: Serve as the primary lead for MMWEC and NextZero social media; developing high-impact content calendars and monitoring engagement.
- Graphic Design & Production: Coordinate the design and production of marketing collateral, including brochures, newsletters, and the MMWEC Annual Report.
- Website Management: Manage content updates for public websites, the employee intranet, and private member portals using content management systems.
- Member Relations: Partner with Municipal Light Plant (MLP) managers to develop localized marketing plans, customer communications, and program-specific initiatives.
- Event Support: Represent MMWEC at community events and contribute to the planning and execution of the MMWEC Annual Conference.
You’re a Great Fit If You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Publications Expertise: Proven ability in writing, editing, and graphic design (portfolio/samples required).
- Digital Savvy: Professional experience managing social media platforms and using web CMS tools.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, or similar design software, and digital marketing platforms.
- Organizational Strength: Ability to work independently, prioritize a dynamic schedule, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
