Job Summary
Alchemy is looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to build on our go-to-market foundation and drive brand awareness, lead generation, and pipeline with Ideal Account Profiles and Target Buyer Personas consistent with our brand strategy and messaging.
This position offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in Alchemy’s success as it continues to grow. This position is best filled by someone who is excited about working closely with the CEO, Sales, and Product teams to determine how best to scale up Alchemy’s marketing motion and accelerate sales at every step of the funnel. The ideal candidate is someone who has a gift for storytelling in a variety of mediums, has had success developing account-based marketing strategies and high-performance campaigns, and who has the ambition to build a cross-functional marketing team over time. Creativity, writing, data-driven analytical skills, energy and the ability to work effectively and enthusiastically with a growing team are critical.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of customer needs and Alchemy’s value proposition and how they relate to Alchemy’s platform capabilities
- Develop a deep understanding of customer impact to collateralize value prop in case studies for use in the buyer journey
- Drive leads with content that can be used programmatically in demand generation
- Accelerate sales by generating a variety of content, product collateral, and sales enablement
- Design, run, and measure the impact of campaigns promoting our in-person speaking and conference calendar
- Manage well-run BDR program and nurture campaigns
- Manage to inbound/outbound lead gen targets, pipeline value creation and other OKRs
- Collect and analyze marketing metrics to continuously improve strategy and underpinning tactics
- Manage marketing budget and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reviews
- Grow and manage a team of internal and external marketing resources, starting with 3 direct reports
Requirements
- 5+ years experience marketing vertical software, SaaS or chemicals with an account-based marketing motion
- Successfully developed and executed integrated marketing programs to drive awareness with target accounts, built pipeline, and facilitated revenue growth across multiple channels including digital, email, events, webinars, and other content thought leadership
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding lead and pipeline contribution targets
- Highly data-driven
- Highly self-motivated and an exceptional collaborator with design, sales, product and technology team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent facility with marketing tech stack including HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Clari
- Loves learning and has an entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action
- Bonus - ideal candidate would have experience at another scientific software company, strong personal interest in science and innovation, and/or been a chemistry major in college and is now working in marketing
