Temp Desk Recruitment Consultant
Recruitment Direct are a recognised independent recruitment agency based in Leominster with a first-rate reputation. We’re looking for a confident, proactive and highly organised individual to join our growing temporary recruitment team. This is a front-facing role, working closely with both clients and candidates, so strong communication skills and a natural ability to multitask are key.
As a Temp Desk Recruitment Consultant, and with support of the wider temp desk team, you’ll ensure the temp desk operates at peak efficiency, managing bookings, records, and client and candidate interactions, while proactively generating new business opportunities and responding swiftly to meet the fast-moving demands of the desk.
What you can expect:
- Salary: up to £35,000, depending on experience
- Monday - Friday (9am-5pm with an hour for lunch), although we encourage candidates seeking slightly less hours to apply
- Bonus structure based on temp desk revenue
- Generous commission structure for perm desk placements
- 22 days annual leave plus an additional day for your birthday plus statutory holidays
- Leominster central location with parking (minimal cost)
- Shared responsibility for the emergency out of hours mobile
What you will be doing:
- Identify new client relationships by understanding of their temporary staffing needs, presenting our services, and negotiating contracts
- Work collaboratively with our long-standing client base, continuing to build trust and loyalty, and ensuring repeat business
- Proactively source, shortlist, and engage with temporary candidates
- Matching qualified candidates with suitable temporary job opportunities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, consistently driving revenue growth for the temp desk
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify revenue-generating opportunities
- Alongside temp desk colleagues, stay in the loop with recruitment updates and implement any required changes to ensure client and candidate compliance
- Assisting with the out-of-hours mobile on a rota basis, ensuring urgent queries are handled
What we are looking for:
- Proven recruitment experience, with a focus on temporary staffing advantageous
- Tenacious and sales-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Graduate level education preferred
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- An organised administrator
- Highly IT literate with Excel proficiency
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Willingness to monitor the out of hours mobile
- Full driving licence
