Job Summary:
Provide leadership for their portion of the Agency’s Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative, whose mission is to strengthen, expand and integrate a comprehensive system of community- based, culturally competent behavioral health and complementary services for children with serious emotional and behavioral health needs, along with their families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Program Director in achieving program objectives.
- Ensures each staff is appropriately trained.
- Ensures that staff operate per program specs and guidelines and meet minimum quality care expectations.
- Provides as needed support to assigned supervisees. To include client contacts, behavioral observations and role modeling with youth and families.
- Provides administrative support as needed to direct care staff and the leadership team.
- In conjunction with the Supervisors and the Program Director, instructs new and existing staff regarding program requirements.
- Provides coaching for staff individually and at program specific meetings (treatment and administrative).
- Helps plan and conduct team meetings and trainings.
- Ensures support and crisis/emergency services are provided as needed for the youth/family.
- Provides face-to-face support to both staff and youth/families served.
- Reports and performs other duties as assigned by Director.
- Supports the Program Director with tasks designed to build morale and provide staff with the support needed so they can develop professionally.
- Will hold a caseload if needed depending on program needs.
- Evaluates programs’ data, including utilization trends, to ensure compliance and high quality service delivery and makes adjustments as needed for success of the program; providing feedback and suggestions to CBYCS Program Directors.
- Will supervise support staff assigned to their site or other sites as needed; i.e. receptionist, intake coordinators and triage screeners, including interns.
- As needed will support the process for programs that are being developed at their assigned site.
- Builds and maintains relationships with local referral sources and other stakeholders.
- Supports the hiring and ongoing evaluation of all program staff.
- Act as full member of CBYCS administrative team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a human services field (preferred) and two years of experience working with the target population.
- Wraparound work experience preferred.
- Experience with children and youth, strength-based, family centered and child focused services;
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative, creative, analytical and decisive in problem solving.
- Demonstrated communications, administrative and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and community agencies: School Dept., DYS, Juvenile Court, etc.
- Understanding/willingness to be part of a Program that supports youth and families 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
- Must have a driver’s license and availability of vehicle to support Program needs.
