Continuous Improvement & Safety Specialist

Position Overview:
In this role, you will be the go-to person for identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in our processes and ensuring the success of our safety initiatives. You will work across departments to conduct time studies, facilitate discussions with team members about their processes, and summarize actionable insights. Additionally, you will play a key role in partnering with our third-party safety consultants to ensure safe working conditions and embed safety practices throughout our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct time studies and process observations to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with team members to understand and document current processes, challenges, and improvement ideas.
- Summarize findings and present clear, actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Facilitate the rollout of safety programs in partnership with third-party consultants.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across the organization.
- Monitor the effectiveness of safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts, providing feedback for adjustments as needed.
- Serve as a champion for continuous improvement and safety by engaging employees, fostering accountability, and tracking progress toward goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or operational environment, with a focus on process improvement or safety initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to listen actively and collaborate effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with MRP/ERP systems is a bonus.
