IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Location: Hudson, MA
Pay Rate: $22.92/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the expectation to stay until work is completed
On-Call Rotation: Every 3rd weekend

Position Highlights

• Work in a specialized sterile compounding and clean room environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare IV medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Perform sterile compounding for medications including antibiotics and TPN
• Work in a clean room environment while maintaining strict sterile technique
• Follow USP 797guidelines and established compliance procedures
• Assist with environmental monitoring and clean room maintenance
• Support inventory management, including stocking and ordering clean room supplies
• Assist with receiving, rotating, and organizing medications and supplies
• Prepackage medications according to established standards and regulations
• Support data entry and reimbursement-related documentation
• Coordinate accurate and timely medication delivery to customers
• Help maintain a clean and safe work environment, including checking equipment for cleanliness and calibration
• Support ongoing employee compliance activities

Requirements

• Previous experience with IV and sterile compounding in a clean room environment is required
• Familiarity with USP 797 guidelines is required
• Experience with compliance and environmental monitoring is required
• Experience with home infusion is preferred
• Experience compounding antibiotics and TPN is preferred
• Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday and stay until work is completed
• Willingness to participate in the every-3rd-weekend on-call rotation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards

Compensation and Benefits

• $22.92 per hour
• Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service on eligibility dates
