Childcare Director 1 Certified

Loving Hearts Learning in Paxton, MA is looking for a full time Director to join our Loving Hearts Team 8:30a-5:30p. We are located on 1 Church St. Paxton, Ma. We offer a full creative play curriculum through Brightwheel Experience curriculum that is flexible and versatile. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, dependable, creative, hardworking, and can engage in play with our little ones. Is willing to get down on the children’s level, engage and support social emotional interactions and play. A team player who leads by example, assures all of our LHLC and EEC policies and guidelines are being followed daily and support staff when needed throughout the day. Teacher Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and work as part of the teaching team to encourage a positive learning environment for all staff and children within the center.
• Assure EEC required paperwork is completed and up to date.
• Manage callouts and coverage when the Executive Director is out.
• Support staff in documenting and sharing with parents the important milestones in a child’s day via Brightwheel.
• Respect and observe staff and children's interests. Intervene when needed to maintain safety. Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities and souring staff are doing the same.
• Oversee, encourage and model social behavior and expectations which are developmentally appropriate for staff and children.
• Assuring that curriculum and planning are prepared the week prior and provide support when needed to assure it is completed.
• Support your center’s success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners

  Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years old
• EEC Director 1 certified and can provide a copy of your certification
• Must meet all EEC Director 1 requirements
• High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours
• Previous experience as an assistant director or director preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
• Complete all required paperwork required by EEC: 12 Essentials Training, Professional Qualifications number, up to date physical and immunizations with 2 MMR results or TEATS
• First Aide & CPR Certified
