Material coordinator

Material Coordinator needed for Varian/Applied Materials Semiconductor Equipment located in Gloucester, MA. In Gloucester, MA, Applied Materials (AMAT) is involved in manufacturing and developing equipment for the semiconductor and display industries, including the fabrication of chips for devices like smartphones and TVs. The Gloucester location also focuses on engineering roles, such as those in supply chain and mechanical engineering rotational programs, and includes a significant presence from its acquisition of Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates, Inc.. This is an 18-month contract with always a possibility of going permanent
Day Shift
Pay Rate: $20.00 to $22.60 depends on experience

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s Degree would be nice High School Diploma
• Overall Years of experience -2-4
• Exemplary Customer Service including solving problems with customers
• Receiving parts and updating inventory records
• Oracle, SAP or other inventory systems
• Ability to identify upcoming work order and expedite receipt of materials
• Operations of pallet jack, electric pallet jack
• Leadership
• Excellent communication and written skills

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prioritizes daily stores activities.
• Investigate customer inquiries, cycle count discrepancies and non-conformances.
• Performs cycle count to verify and maintain inventory. Locates, audits, and transfers kits or materials as required in preparation for shipment.
• Receives parts and updates inventory records or shortage reports; may perform transactions in Oracle, SAP, or other inventory systems. Verifies vendor delivery before accepting parts and/or inventory.
• May monitor, update and maintain shortage reports including review of work orders.
• Coordinates processing of non-conformances. Regulates and prepares material for delivery to the cleanroom environment.
• Reviews M.R.P. for upcoming work order, project status, and W.I.P. Expedites receipt of materials from vendors/suppliers.
• Operates powered industrial vehicles as assigned; may operate pallet jack, electric pallet jack. Must be willing to train/certify on electric pallet jack.
• Adheres to all safety standards and protocols; participates in addressing safety concerns.
