Direct Care Professional - Child Care Specialist
Stetson School, an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation - Barre, MA

4,000 Sign on Bonus!
Pay Rate 21.00 to 22.92 per hour based on experience

Schedule options:

2nd, Weekend and Overnight Shift

Stetson School is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to provide direct care and supervision to children and adolescents in a structured residential treatment setting. Child Care Specialists build supportive relationships, model positive behavior, and help maintain a safe and therapeutic living environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and ensure student safety at all times
• Support daily routines, life skills, and positive behavior using trauma informed practices
• Implement behavior support strategies and CPI - Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques , including physical intervention when required
• Complete shift documentation and incident reports accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, organized, and structured living environment
• Collaborate with clinical, educational, and residential team members

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass CORI, DCF, SORI, and federal fingerprint background checks
• Ability to remain alert and actively supervise students
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including physical interventions

Preferred

• Experience working with youth in residential, behavioral health, or human services settings
