Compensation Range: $18-$25/hr

Key Responsi bilities

• Assist senior technicians with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment including ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, walk-in-coolers/freezers, reach-ins, and ice machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine service tasks under guidance
• Support equipment installations and component replacements as directed
• Accurately document service calls, parts used, and labor hours in the company system
• Communicate professionally with customers while shadowing senior technicians
• Follow EPA, safety, and company compliance standards
• Maintain tools, truck inventory, and job site cleanliness
• Participate in ongoing technical training and development programs
• Assist with emergency service calls alongside experienced technicians as needed

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in commercial cooking and refrigeration service (trade school or field experience welcomed)
• EPA Universal Certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire)
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with little supervision
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
• Own industry standard hand tools
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is $18-$25 per hour . Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with prior hands-on commercial cooking and refrigeration experience or relevant technical training may be considered at the higher end of the range.
