Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer
Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer
3LED Group | Product Design Team
3LED Group is seeking a motivated and talented electro-mechanical engineer to help bring innovative lighting products from concept to market across its portfolio of brands, including Xico, FlexGrid, Prolume, LEDdynamics, and Fusion Optix.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role within a multidisciplinary product design team focused on developing real products for commercial production. The position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building, solving problems, and working across the full product lifecycle — from early concepts and prototyping through manufacturing launch and market introduction.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop electro-mechanical product designs for lighting systems and related technologies.
- Create production-ready technical documentation including shop drawings, installation instructions, layouts, and wiring details.
- Work closely with manufacturing and factory teams to ensure designs are complete, practical, and ready for production.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on product positioning, customer requirements, technical support, and launch activities.
- Participate in customer and agent discussions where technical input is needed.
- Support product development, testing, prototyping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help drive products from idea to reality in a collaborative, execution-focused environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Mid-career engineer with strong electrical and mechanical design capability.
- Experience with product development and transitioning designs into production.
- CAD proficiency and strong technical documentation skills.
- Practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally.
- Strong communicator who enjoys working with engineering, operations, sales, and customers.
- Positive attitude, high ownership mentality, and interest in building great products quickly and effectively.
This is an opportunity to work on a wide range of products in an entrepreneurial environment where engineering, manufacturing, optics, controls, and product strategy all intersect. Ideal for someone who wants broad exposure, meaningful responsibility, and the ability to see products move rapidly from concept to market.
