Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, starting 07/28/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: rotating, typically 4×10s. This is a hospital OR role with on‑call responsibilities and the potential for shift variations. Compensation ranges from $2,783 to $2,971 per week, with a local rate option within 50 miles ($8 less).

- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift and schedule: Rotating, 4×10s; typical shifts include 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with other options (9:00 AM–7:30 PM or 11:00 AM–9:30 PM)
- On-call and holiday requirements: On-call responsibilities every 5–6 evenings to 7:00 AM the following day and every 6th or 7th weekend; must work every other major holiday

Responsibilities
- Provide circulating and/or scrub nurse support for operative cases in the OR
- Prepare the room, equipment, and supplies; assist the surgical team; maintain sterile technique and counts
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage instruments and equipment, and document intraoperative events
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgeons to ensure patient safety and timely case flow
- Facilitate room turnover between cases; uphold infection control standards and privacy requirements
- Demonstrate adaptability to dynamic case schedules and adhere to unit policies and procedures

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license; NURSYS verification showing all licenses
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- 1+ year OR nursing experience
- Demonstrated documentation of travel experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
- RTO (time off) request must be included at submission; not guaranteed after confirmation
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
