Position Summary

The Market Access Specialist is responsible for engaging with existing and prospective customers — including hospitals, provider groups, health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and imaging centers — to communicate the clinical and economic value of the company’s medical technology portfolio. This role also monitors coding, payment, and coverage trends relevant to the product line. The Specialist collaborates closely with sales, marketing, clinical, and market access teams, as well as regional and senior leadership, to achieve organizational objectives.

Position Expectations

  • Monitor reimbursement trends and analyze customer needs, including coding (ICD-10, CPT, DRG, APC), claim denials, procedural documentation, and other access-related issues.

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of both commercial and government payer landscapes, including coverage policies and payment processes, and help providers navigate barriers to reimbursement.

  • Present complex market access information to diverse audiences in a clear, engaging, and credible manner.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to advance market access initiatives.

  • Provide reimbursement support to sales and clinical teams.

  • Partner with internal teams on strategic projects and market development activities.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, fostering long-term partnerships and representing the organization with professionalism and integrity.

  • Develop an understanding of the company’s medical technology and its clinical applications to support discussions with physicians and healthcare administrators.

  • Participate in business development and educational initiatives such as community outreach events and industry meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience in healthcare or a related field.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10–15% (day and overnight trips).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Proven ability to build relationships with healthcare providers and office staff.
