Position Overview

As a Virtual Medical Assistant , you’ll provide administrative and clinical support to Salvo’s care team, ensuring smooth operations and timely communication with patients. You’ll manage documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) , triage patient messages, and schedule appointments—all while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a patient-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-ups
• Handle medical records, data entry, and documentation in EHR systems
• Monitor, triage, and respond to incoming member messages
• Ensure patient records are accurately entered and updated in EHR
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Provide general administrative support to care team and patients
• Manage patient tasks to ensure timely documentation and communication

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant , Virtual Medical Assistant , or administrative support role in a healthcare setting
• Strong familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, eCW, gGastro)
• Experience in message triaging , charting , or medical documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with telemedicine platforms is a plus
