Facilities Associate
Pay is commiserate with experience and ranges between $20-25/hr.
The purpose of this position is to provide daily support for the Site Operations department. Perform a wide variety of office services and general lab support in the Waltham facility. This includes day-to-day facility operations and administrative services (e.g., mailroom, meeting set ups, relocation/move support, glass wash, lab support etc.). Physical demands associated with this position may include walking, lifting & carrying weighted materials (up to 50 lbs.). KEY DUTIES:Office &Lab Support
·Meeting and conference support, Assiststakeholders with event management and configuration
·Understanding the planning of eventsdue to size and capacity restrictions. Assist and make recommendations forfurniture configurations.
·Physical room set ups and break downs,including but not limited to, furniture reconfigurations (moving tables andchairs), whiteboards / easels, catering set up, etc.
· Maintain inventory, purchasing, and stocking of office andkitchen supplies.
·Assist with watering plants and paper shreddingservices.
·Collection, washing, autoclaving ofglassware and materials for laboratory areas.
·Performs various mailroom functionsincluding sorting and distributing mail.
·Supervise onsite vendors.
· Assist the site operations department as needed. SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Great Customer Service skills.
- Routine physical lifting up to 50lbs.
- Positive attitude.
- Dependable, dedicated, and able to use discretion.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across departments.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree+ preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent suite.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related industry. Lab experience preferred.
