We are currently recruiting for a Complex Claims Specialist (Professional Lines - Cyber, Tech, E&O, Media, Crime) in NYC (midtown), Hartford, CT, Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL Hybrid schedule in-office 2 days. The Complex Claims Specialist will analyze liability claims for potential coverage, set adequate case reserves, respond to inquiries from customers and brokers, and drive early resolution of claims arising from commercial lines. 135K – 155K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package

About the Role:

Complex Claims Specialist will join a leading Professional Lines insurer and handle claims across Cyber, Technology E&O, Media, and Crime. This role is ideal for a PL claims specialist who thrives on complex coverage analysis, strategic resolution, and direct interaction with insureds, brokers, and counsel. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of sophisticated commercial lines claims, drive early resolution strategies, and serve as a trusted expert within a high‐authority claims environment.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze liability claim submissions for coverage applicability and exposure
• Set and adjust case reserves with accuracy and discipline
• Draft detailed coverage analyses for Cyber, Tech E&O, Media, and Crime matters
• Lead early resolution strategies and negotiate favorable outcomes
• Manage litigation, direct defense counsel, and attend mediations/settlement conferences
• Monitor vendor spend and ensure cost‐effective claim handling
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation within the claims management system
• Communicate directly with insureds and brokers to deliver exceptional service

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional lines claims handling experience
• Cyber and Technology claims experience (minimum 2–3 years)
• Strong background in coverage analysis, litigation management, and negotiation
• Advanced analytical skills and excellent written/verbal communication
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred (ABA‐accredited law school)
