Program Manager III
Overview
We seek an experienced clinical research professional to lead a program supporting customer-facing to enterprise-wide clinical research technology systems. This individual will oversee multiple high-priority initiatives to implement enhancements and upgrades to clinical research applications to support process-improvement and increased efficiencies in oncology research. This individual must have strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate a highly matrixed environment and collaborate within cross-functional teams. Required qualifications: Seven (7) years of clinical research experience with progressively increasing responsibility, of which at least four (4) years must be in project/program management or comparable role; experience supporting enterprise clinical trials PRMS, CTMS, and EDC processes and applications. Experience supporting oncology research programs in an academic research environment is strongly preferred.
The Program Manager III is responsible for the execution and leadership of complex programs that have a significant impact on departmental or organizational goals. This role involves managing multiple high-priority projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring program success through effective stakeholder engagement. The Program Manager will drive strategic initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Focuses on strategic program outcomes and goals.

This position is funded through September 2028 with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities
Scope and Complexity: Lead complex programs with significant organizational impact, involving multiple high-priority projects and cross-functional teams.
Decision Making: Exercise significant decision-making authority in program planning, execution, and resource management, with a focus on
strategic outcomes.
Stakeholder Interaction and Communication: Collaborate with senior leadership and external partners to align program objectives with organizational goals and drive success.
Program Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Quality Improvement: Implement best practices in quality assurance, developing strategies to optimize processes and continuous improvement.
Documentation: Maintain accurate program documentation and ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for program execution, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and long-term goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, healthcare, or a related field required.
- Seven (7) years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibility of which at least four (4) years must be in program management OR comparable roles.
- Extensive experience in program management with a proven record of accomplishments.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in advanced project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive change.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
No supervisory responsibilities. Project or Program Management Professional certification is preferred (PgMP, PMP, etc.).
Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
$112,900 - $132,800
