Tax Manager POST NUMBER: 473716
A growing organization is seeking a Tax Manager to lead corporate tax compliance, reporting, and planning initiatives. This role is ideal for a tax professional with a strong foundation from a Big 4 public accounting firm who is looking to transition into a dynamic, business?focused environment with increased ownership and visibility.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance, filings, and related reporting
- Review and support income tax provisions, estimates, extensions, and returns
- Partner with external advisors and auditors to ensure timely and accurate filings
- Research and interpret complex tax regulations and assess impact on the business
- Support tax planning initiatives to optimize the company’s tax position
- Assist with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities
- Collaborate cross?functionally with Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and documentation
- Mentor and develop junior tax staff as applicable
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Big 4 public accounting experience highly desired
- 5 years of progressive tax experience (public accounting and/or corporate)
- CPA or CPA?track strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and multi?state tax regulations
- Experience with tax provision, compliance, and audit support
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast?paced environment
