Allen & Major Associates, Inc. is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Survey Instrument Operator to join our team.

From boundary surveys to construction stakeout, your work will directly support the engineers, landscape architects, developers, and communities we serve.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work alongside a Survey Crew Chief, and at times independently, supporting a variety of land surveying projects, including:
· Monument reconnaissance
· Boundary surveys
· ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys
· Topographic surveys
· Aerial photo control
· Construction stakeout
· Survey research
You will:
✔ Complete essential field tasks supporting daily crew operations
✔ Collect accurate, high-quality field data
✔ Prepare clear field notes and sketches
✔ Operate and maintain survey equipment and company vehicles
✔ Represent the company professionally in the field
✔ Collaborate with office staff to ensure efficient project completion
Equipment & Technical Experience
We’re looking for someone comfortable with:
· Experience with robotic total stations is strongly preferred
· Data collectors
· Differential levels
· GPS (RTK) equipment
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Willingness to travel overnight occasionally (a plus)
- Detail-oriented and safety-minded
