We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Newton, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for a detail oriented individual who excels in managing financial operations and leading teams. The role involves overseeing key accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and fostering collaboration among team members.
Responsibilities:• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correctly recorded.
• Lead financial statement audits by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with auditors.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Utilize NetSuite effectively for various accounting functions and reporting.
• Supervise and guide a small team, providing mentorship and supporting detail oriented development.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in all accounting activities.• Proven experience in an accounting management role, preferably overseeing teams.
• Strong expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and account reconciliation processes.
• Proficient in preparing journal entries and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Advanced knowledge of NetSuite or similar accounting software.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
