The Program in Cellular and Molecular Medicine (PCMM) at Boston Children’s Hospital ( in partnership with the Department of Immunology at the Blavatnik Institute of Harvard Medical School () invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The primary appointment will be in the Department of Immunology, and employment and resources will come from Boston Children's Hospital through PCMM. We welcome applicants with a PhD and/or MD or equivalent degree and a record of outstanding research productivity.
PCMM and the Department of Immunology offer a vibrant research community, with extensive opportunities for collaboration and interaction within the broader Longwood Medical Area scientific community. The successful candidate will lead an independent research program located in the PCMM, in close proximity to the Department of Immunology, and will participate in our shared teaching missions. This appointment includes a highly competitive start-up package and access to cutting-edge facilities.
We are seeking innovative and outstanding scientists with demonstrated potential, a clear vision for the future, and a commitment to addressing important problems broadly related to immunology. Candidates should possess expertise and research interests that complement the wide-ranging scientific efforts of the faculty in PCMM and the Department of Immunology. The faculty in PCMM investigate diverse topics spanning immunology, microbiology, neuroimmunology, aging, and cancer biology using approaches that include genomics, epigenomics, cell biology, structural biology, neuroscience, molecular genetics, advanced imaging, and bioengineering. The faculty at the Department of Immunology similarly pursue a broad spectrum of scientific questions using a variety of approaches and model organisms, unified by a shared goal of understanding the fundamental mechanisms of immunity and translating these discoveries into strategies for preventing and treating disease.

The posted pay range, $152,000-$175,000, is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive benefits package.
