Gather’s model achieves superior care by individualizing care and is reinforced by a three-prong approach: a unique care model quarterbacked by PCPs and supported by multi-disciplinary care teams, tailored Social Care Plans that are led by Gather Guides and facilitated by deeply rooted community partners, and a proprietary “Tech Enabled Home Model.”
Founded in 2022 and born out of the Healthcare Foundry Portfolio, Gather Health is addressing a $1 trillion market in primary care for older adults. Today, Gather Health operates in Massachusetts and is working with a multitude of payer partners on aligning value-based care economics to deliver integrated care. Gather’s leadership team has a track record of building and scaling innovative primary care platforms focused on vulnerable populations, including VillageMD and Commonwealth Care Alliance. Gather has raised $30M backed by Maverick Ventures, Khosla, and HC9 Ventures.
Summary of the Director of Marketing Role: This newly established position will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive branding and marketing strategies tailored to engage older adults, as well as the community agencies, providers, and other referral sources that support them. The successful candidate will design marketing initiatives that embody our person-centered philosophy and effectively communicate the value of our socially-supported care model in improving patient outcomes. In collaboration with our Growth, Operations, and Clinical teams, the Director of Marketing will produce compelling narratives demonstrating our contributions to health equity and community wellness, while supporting the organization’s continued growth.
Requirements:Day-to-day duties:
- Develop and manage our brand messaging across all touchpoints to ensure consistency with our mission and values
- Build comprehensive marketing strategies that reach older adults in underserved communities and educate them about our unique care model
- Develop patient engagement campaigns including direct outreach materials, community event planning, and digital presence management
- Create provider relationship marketing materials to strengthen referral partnerships with hospitals, specialists, and community organizations
- Develop and implement a measurement framework to track patient acquisition, gauge community awareness, and analyze campaign effectiveness
- Own the marketing budget, partnering with leadership to forecast needs and demonstrate a clear return on investment
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of healthcare marketing experience is required; demonstrated expertise in patient acquisition and community engagement is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to build marketing functions in startup or growth-stage healthcare organization
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with ability to create compelling content across multiple channels
- Experience with digital marketing platforms, social media management, and graphic design tools
- Knowledge of healthcare marketing compliance requirements and patient privacy regulations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across growth, operations, and clinical teams
- Demonstrated success in community-based marketing and local market penetration strategies
- Familiarity with Salesforce and marketing automation tools
- Experience marketing within a value-based care model is a significant plus.
