Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound exams and protocols (abdomen, pelvis, small parts) and liver, renal, and other required studies with quality imaging.
- Conduct vascular studies (lower and upper extremity venous) and obstetric sonography (fetal surveys across 1st–3rd trimesters) with attention to patient safety and image optimization.
- Image pediatric studies (hips, spine, head, pylorus, intussusception) as needed and document findings per department standards.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, adjust technical settings, and optimize image quality for radiologist interpretation.
- Provide patient preparation guidance, proper positioning, and informed consent as applicable; maintain sterile technique and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals; participate in all department tasks and cross-site coverage as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation, coding, and EMR entries; ensure images and reports meet regulatory and facility standards.
- Inpatient and outpatient imaging coverage across multiple sites; float as needed to Cambridge, Somerville, and Everett locations.

Requirements
- Certification: ARDMS RDMS required at submission; AHA BLS required at submission.
- Experience: 3+ years of ultrasound experience in the specialty.
- Skills: Proficient in general ultrasound, small parts, vascular studies (lower/upper extremity venous), OB/GYN fetal surveys (1st–3rd trimester), and pediatrics (hips, spine, head, pylorus, intussusception). Ability to handle all ages and both inpatient and outpatient scenarios.
- EMR: EPIC experience preferred.
- Eligibility: Inpatient/outpatient radiology work across multiple sites; willingness to float to all three site locations as needed.
- Scheduling and logistics: RTO requests must be included at submission; vacation and scheduling constraints are defined in advance and must be agreeable prior to submission.
- Additional: Driver’s license with address matching demographics; flu vaccine during season; ability to work 12-hour night shifts; must be able to travel to assigned sites within the area.
