Summary Oversees construction projects from planning through closeout, managing crews, schedules, budgets, safety, and quality to deliver work per plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Lead projects from conception to completion; review schedules, track milestones, and contribute to cost estimating and budget control.
- Team Management: Coordinate and supervise crews, subcontractors, and vendors; support recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance feedback.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety standards; conduct regular site inspections; implement site-specific safety plans and toolbox talks.
- Resource Coordination: Plan logistics for labor, materials, and equipment; negotiate with suppliers; ensure timely deliveries to avoid downtime.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain daily reports and site logs; interpret drawings, specs, and contracts; liaise with engineers, architects, and project managers; report progress to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Anticipate and resolve delays, conflicts, and field issues; implement corrective actions to keep schedule, cost, quality, and safety on track.
- Quality Control: Verify workmanship and materials meet specifications; manage inspections, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years field experience in residential construction; prior foreman or superintendent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and safety regulations
- Proficient with scheduling and project management tools (MS Project, Procore).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
