Inside sales representative

POSITION OVERVIEW

UMI is seeking an Inside Salesperson to join our team in Wrentham, MA. In this role, you'll help clients bring their design visions to life by showcasing UMI's premium selection of natural stone, quartz, and other surfacing materials — including our exclusive Vicostone line.

You'll work directly with designers, remodelers, builders, and homeowners, providing product expertise, design guidance, and exceptional service both in our showroom and through phone and email communication.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional showroom experience for clients

• Present UMI's full range of products and assist customers with material selections

• Assist customers over the phone or via email
• Attend training functions as required
• Maintain and clean specific area of the showroom
• Collect deposits and balances before delivery
• Follow up phone calls to secure orders
• Resolve customer issues
• Generate and develop new customer business accounts to increase revenue at a profitable level

• Enter orders into computer system

• Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business

Competencies/Skills/Abilities

• 3 - 5 years' experience/hands-on knowledge within construction industry product sales

• Strong communication and relationship - building skills

• Self-motivated, driven to close sales
• Ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside of the Company
• Computer literate; working knowledge of MS Office
• Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
