Project Manager, International Strategic Initiatives
Overview
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Project Manager I provides support for education and training programs core to Dana-Farber’s international collaborations with institutions in South America, China, and the Middle East region.
The Project Manager I organizes leadership delegation visits from outside institutions and Dana-Farber faculty and staff trips to partner institutions. They will also be responsible for leading the DFCI international observership and tumor board programs and developing educational curricula for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff across ongoing international collaborations. The role works closely with all members of the International Strategic Initiatives Department as well as across DFCI departments to support the programmatic needs of a wide range of international initiatives. This role will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and support other international projects as needed. The Project Manager I will also provide project support to new business opportunity identification. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Lead the implementation of international education and training programs, including clinical observerships, clinical conferences and symposia, clinical shadowing experiences and virtual tumor boards with external institutions
•Manage internal resources across all levels of the institution including Senior Leaders, Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Quality and Patient Safety Experts, etc.
•Collaborate with multiple departments to provide onboarding/orientation, clinical scheduling, and ongoing onsite support for clinical observers
•Organize and facilitate international delegation visits, such as scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, preparing meeting materials, and overseeing day-of event logistics
•Lead the planning of leadership and/or clinical staff trips to international partner sites, including working with internal and external stakeholders to develop trip agendas, scheduling pre-trip meetings, and coordinating all travel related logistics
•Be the primary point person overseeing the management of data for International Strategic Initiatives by maintaining and managing project dashboards to track project status, activities, milestones, and timelines for internal and external reporting including providing supporting data for progress reports delivered to international collaborators and for internal stakeholders and partner organizations
•Create update reports for international collaborators
•Provide team support for the following activities: booking travel, scheduling complex meetings, reserving rooms or venues, ordering food, and arranging for audiovisual equipment for internal and external meetings
•Perform finance-related administrative procedures for processing faculty honorarium, travel reimbursements, and project and department-related expenses
•Prepare documents such as correspondence, reports, letters, presentations, discussion minutes, talking points, and materials for internal and external meetings
•Support the planning and execution of other program development activities within each collaboration
•May perform other duties as needed including special assignments and projects
•May be required to be on campus to welcome international visitors, escort them to meetings, and serve as point-of-contact for international visitors coming to Dana-Farber. Knowledge of Mandarin preferred.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with Institutional policies and procedures.

- Solid understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and templates.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Business administration, management, healthcare, or a related field
- 3 Years of experience in project coordination / administration OR at least 1 year of project management experience

The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
