Low Voltage Technician

Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This role involves working in commercial environments to install, terminate, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling systems, primarily CAT 5 and CAT 6. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structured cabling and a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, route, and secure CAT 5/CAT 6 cables in commercial buildings.
• Terminate cables at patch panels, jacks, and network equipment.
• Punch down cables on 110 blocks and patch panels.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Test and troubleshoot cable systems using appropriate tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to meet deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must be reliable and willing to drive to the sites with own vehicle while on contract

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerville, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
