Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining an inviting shopping atmosphere. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, assisting them in their shopping experience, advertising the products and services that we offer, buying product from customers while maintaining accuracy with the product itself, in addition to the active market rate for it, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized.

Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs promptly.
• Assist customers with product selections and provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales.
• Maintain the organization of merchandise on the sales floor, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and displays are visually appealing.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and interest.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory effectively and assist with stock replenishment.
• Employ effective phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or processing orders over the phone.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures while maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction.
• Basic understanding of retail math for inventory management is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated.
• A passion for providing excellent customer service and a willingness to learn about products offered in-store.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
