About The Role
The Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager will support project management activities within the Underground Cable Modernization Program . This role assists with project tracking, schedule and budget support, outage coordination, contract administration, and executive-level reporting to ensure timely and successful delivery of capital program initiatives. This position is based out of Westwood, MA, working on projects within the Greater Boston area. You will report on a hybrid schedule to Westwood, MA, and make field visits as needed based on project needs.
This position reports out of Hartford, CT, supporting Transmission and Substation projects throughout the Connecticut region. This is a field position, required to be on-site or in office full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with coordination and execution of underground cable modernization projects.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and action items; support schedule updates as needed.
- Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, and forecast support.
- Prepare accurate departmental and executive-level progress reports , summaries, and presentations.
- Support outage coordination efforts, including schedule alignment, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Assist with contract administration , including tracking deliverables, change orders, and compliance items.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional internal teams and external vendors to support project objectives.
- Maintain organized project documentation and ensure timely follow‑up on assigned tasks.
Key Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, project management support, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience drafting executive-level communications , reports, or presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Nice-To-Haves
- Experience supporting utility, infrastructure, construction, or capital programs.
- Knowledge of outage coordination or contract administration.
- Project management coursework or certification is a plus.
