Job Summary:
Central GMC of Norwood is seeking skilled Automotive Transmission Technicians to join our team. This is a full-time, position in the auto industry located in Norwood, Massachusetts. The role is an individual contributor who will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive transmissions for our customers.
We offer extremely competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications with a SIGN ON BONUS based on experience. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans. Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles' transmissions to identify any issues or malfunctions
- Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and software to assist in diagnostics and repairs
- Repair or replace damaged or worn-out transmission components
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and technical instructions for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and tools
- Keep accurate records of work performed and time spent on each vehicle
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication to ensure customer satisfaction
- Strive to complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in automotive transmissions Requirements:
- Experience with CDK and Xtime preferred
- Previous experience as an Automotive Transmission Technician
- Strong knowledge of automotive transmission systems and components
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining quality work
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
