Hebrew Teacher
You will teach Hebrew classes to students in grades 2-6 every day. Each class is 45-60 minutes, conducted all in Hebrew. In addition you will
- Partner with families in regular communication
- Nurture a joyful sense of Jewish identity within each student
- Teach about Jewish holidays at appropriate times of year
- Commit to implementing our social/emotional curriculum as well as our strong academic program
Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about contributing to school-wide initiatives including social justice, our on-site working farm, and creative arts. In addition, you
- Hold a Bachelor's degree
- Are fluent in Hebrew and able to teach entirely in the target language
- Have strong Judaic content knowledge and are able to teach about Jewish holidays in Hebrew
- Have experience teaching elementary grade students
- Work well as part of team
- Are familiar with Talam (preferred)
- Salary is $43,000-$66,000 commensurate with experience and education

- Teachers have about 2 hours of prep time a day.
- A strong support base! All new teachers are assigned a teacher mentor and meet weekly with a member of the leadership team
- Paid time off for state, federal, and Jewish holidays
