Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This travel - temporary assignment starts 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,634 to $2,873. Shift is 12-hour days (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) with rotating weekends and holidays. The Birthplace unit is a 12-bed private‑room labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum area with a nursery, supporting obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians and neonatologists. MA license and unit-specific requirements apply. Key Highlights

- Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly
- Contract duration: 13 weeks

- Work setting: Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit focused on labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care
- Biweekly orientation and onboarding process per unit policy Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for women in labor, during delivery, postpartum and for newborns in a private‑room Birthplace unit
- Monitor fetal status with external/internal fetal monitoring; recognize non‑reassuring patterns and escalate promptly
- Administer medications and perform required procedures within scope; support labor, delivery and postpartum care
- Assist with OR scrub and circulating roles as needed; participate in neonatal resuscitation and resuscitation protocol
- Deliver breastfeeding education and newborn care guidance to families; promote maternal-newborn bonding
- Document care in the electronic medical record; collaborate with obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians and neonatologists
- Uphold safety, infection control, and unit standards; respond to obstetric emergencies and stabilizations as trained Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required upon hire; AWHONN fetal monitoring certification (intermediate or advanced) required
- Evidence of recent electronic fetal monitoring education or within 3 months of hire
- OR circulating and scrub experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting; willing to reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local travelers accepted)
- MA license and BILH coversheet required at submission
- Pass/Fail ECG/telemetry and medications knowledge tests during onboarding (one attempt only) Benefits and Support
