19686-1 Shipping/Receiving Assistant Level 2,Chelmsford, MA (Secret/Interim Secret)
DESCRIPTION
Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules, and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, shipped, and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges, and routes merchandise to destinations.
**Hazmat Requirement:
This is in reference to DOT Hazmat Ground Shipper Certification. This is what we require new contractor selected to have to work on the dock. The occasional shipment requires the paperwork to be filled out properly, so LM will provide training when we have shipments like this.
This position may require the use of a forklift by the contractor.
Safety shoes are required for this position.
Job Details:
- Must be US Citizen
- Active Secret Clearance or Interim Secret Clearance
- 5/40 Work Week; Monday through Friday (8 hours per day) 8:30am-5:00pm EST
- 1st Shift
- $26.50/hr.
- Duration: 1/5/2026-1/1/2027
- Non-Exempt
- Contract Position
- Worker will work Onsite Full Time
MANDATORY:
- 2-3 years Shipping and Receiving experience.
- High School Diploma.
- DOT Hazmat Certification.
- 2-3 years of experience receiving incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
