Berkshire County boasts year-round outdoor activities and world class cultural venues. Attractions include the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood, the Norman Rockwell Museum, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, and others. Outdoor activities include alpine and cross-country skiing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, and hiking. The Appalachian trail traverses the county from Vermont to Connecticut and passes over Mount Greylock, the highest peak in Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

Hospitalists at Berkshire Health Systems are vital members of the healthcare team and are responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive, and patient-centered care to individuals admitted to our hospitals.

Position based at main campus, Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.

Two affiliated critical access hospitals each with their own dedicated Hospitalist teams.

7on/7off schedule (There are times where you will work one week on two weeks off)

11 hour shifts

122 shifts per year (More shifts can always be picked up)

Closed ICU

Established nocturnist program.

Procedures not required.

Academic appointment at the University of Massachusetts

Community teaching hospital with residencies in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Psychiatry

Target total daily encounters of 10-15
