AP Staff Accountant

We’re hiring immediately for an AP Staff Accountant to support daily AP operations. In this critical finance role, you’ll deliver outstanding customer service, ensure accurate invoice processing, and contribute to monthly financial close activities. You’ll work independently while partnering with teams across the organization, helping ensure smooth, efficient financial workflows.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle accounts payable entries and invoice verification according to policy
• Respond to AP-related inquiries within 2 business days with top-tier service
• Perform month-end close tasks and report preparation
• Help deliver AP metrics reports and training support for internal teams
• Back up key payment functions including checks, wires, and file feeds
• Collaborate across departments to solve AP issues and improve processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1+ year of accounting or finance experience, preferably in AP
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and financial systems

Nice-to-Have:

• Customer service experience with a broad internal audience
• Exposure to SAP or enterprise-level accounting software
• Understanding of nonprofit or higher education financial environments
