Job Description Summary

The Mailroom Clerk is a vital part of our facilities team, responsible for the seamless processing and distribution of mail and packages. This role requires a blend of high-energy physical activity, administrative precision, and daily travel between our local campus sites.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Office Support: Maintain mailroom inventory, assist with high-volume copy/print projects, and support general office services.
• Mail Processing & Distribution: Receive, sort, and deliver USPS, FedEx, and UPS shipments to designated departments.
• Inter-Site Mail Runs: Perform scheduled daily mail runs between our core locations to ensure timely inter-office communication.
• Shipping & Logistics: Prepare outgoing shipments, calculate postage, and manage tracking logs using specialized software.

Compensation & Reimbursement

• Competitive Hourly Pay: Up to $25 per hour based on experience.
• Vehicle Compensation: Employees are reimbursed for all business-related travel. In accordance with Massachusetts state guidelines and IRS standards, you will receive a mileage reimbursement (currently $0.725 per mile for 2026) to cover fuel, maintenance, and vehicle wear.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 1–2+ years in mailroom, logistics, or office operations
• Driver Requirements: A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are mandatory. You must have access to a reliable, insured personal vehicle.
• Physical Strength : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Customer Service: Professional demeanor and strong communication skills for interacting with clients at multiple sites.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $20.40 - $24.00
