Overview
RN First Assistant (RNFA) travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: Weeks. 40 hours per week on a day shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), with float to the main OR as needed and on-call rotation by schedule. Weekly pay range: $2,847–$3,075 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide RN First Assistant coverage during operative procedures, including tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, and instrument handling
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with advancing the sterile field in accordance with OR protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, scrub personnel, anesthesia, and nursing staff to promote patient safety and efficient workflow
- Assist with perioperative patient support, positioning, counts, specimen labeling, and immediate postoperative care as appropriate
- Float to the main OR when needed and participate in on-call rotation per schedule
- Document pertinent perioperative information and ensure accuracy of intraoperative communications

Requirements
- MA RN license in hand at time of submission
- CNOR certification and BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years’ RNFA experience; perioperative/surgical assisting background implied by the role
- COVID-19 vaccination with booster; no exemptions
- Documentation required at submission: SSN and DOB
- Ability to work in an outpatient surgical setting with the potential to float to the main OR and participate in on-call rotation
