Client: Community Health Center
Location: Brighton & Waltham, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $21-$25/hour
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

A Community Health Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to support laboratory and patient care services across clinical settings, including prenatal care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values community health, and is passionate about serving diverse and underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain blood and urine specimens using a variety of collection techniques
• Perform point-of-care testing including INR, A1C, HCG, Hemoglobin, Glucose, Lipids, Rapid HIV, and more
• Prepare and process specimens for transport to external laboratories
• Maintain specimen integrity and follow all laboratory compliance standards
• Operate laboratory centrifuges and assist with daily lab operations
• Coordinate lab flow and monitor patient wait times
• Practice infection control procedures and ensure a clean, organized workspace
• Wash, wrap, and prepare instruments for sterilization
• Schedule lab appointments and maintain accurate patient documentation
• Assist with inventory management and supply stocking
• Support onboarding and training of new staff members
• Participate in staff meetings, outreach initiatives, and ongoing education programs
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT, RPT, or equivalent)
• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS or CPR Certification
• Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience
