General Summary

The Associate Product Manager of Performance Sport Footwear helps support category leadership in executing a successful and sustainable product and go-to-market strategy as we return to our rightful place in Sport. This includes day-to-day management and delegated ownership of the product creation process for the Sport footwear range across Global Football, Tennis, Golf and future expansion into additional sport categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist / execute the product range and/or category life cycles from conception through sales and distribution. Including briefing, range planning, product review and confirmation, and market adoption
  • Assist / create product presentations for team, executives, Go-To-Market (Virtual Handover/Final Check), and any other key milestone meetings
  • Have cursory knowledge and understanding of strategy and business objectives
  • Prepare, update, and maintain seasonal briefs, visual line plans, forms, and/or templates for product lines and other types of information
  • Provide and create content for seasonal sell-in needs
  • Actively participate in cross-functional creation process specific to Commercial range (brief handover, prototype review, costing review, Rendered Virtual Samples (RVS), sample confirmation, etc.)
  • Effectively and efficiently navigate and use Reebok software tools and systems
  • Communicate updates, status quo of relevant projects, and business results to relevant team /project members, business partners, and others in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Gather and apply market research and / or consumer feedback to accurately anticipate and fulfill consumer needs, and identify consumers and trends
  • Use relevant and appropriate resources to accurately determine, anticipate, and validate current and future trends, competition, retail landscape, and cultural drivers
  • Make accurate assessments and projections of competitors' strengths and weaknesses in the global market relative to the Reebok brand, products, and product lines including market presence, tactics, merchandising, and trends
  • Maintain current information of Reebok and industry factors that can affect products, such as material, technology, and consumer feedback and insight
  • Analyze net forecasting data to assess and validate margin projections and weighted margins
  • Analyze buying volume reports to determine areas of the business to invest and drive volume/net sales

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience playing a sport competitively preferred
  • Strong awareness of sport movements, specialty footwear usage, and desired athlete benefits from product
  • Authentic insight into athlete culture at a youth and high school level
  • Ability to “talk the talk” for Sport in a credible way with key internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Work independently and perform a variety of tasks with different levels of complexity by developing effective plans and organizing their work efficiently
  • Think and act in a goal-oriented manner, prioritize, and complete tasks in order of importance
  • Meet calendar deadlines and deliverables
  • Respond to changing deadlines and deliverables adeptly and with resourcefulness
  • Participate conscientiously and with accountability in own, cross-department, and cross-function teams, and facilitate effective team outcomes
  • Use analytical skills to propose objective solutions
  • Ability to navigate day-to-day tasks at a fast pace, at times with a level of ambiguity

Requirements

  • College degree preferred, preferably in marketing/business
  • Interest in performance sport/sport culture/footwear culture
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, sales, merchandising, development, or marketing.
  • Ability to travel, domestic and international
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills (presenting to large groups expected)
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office), ability to process and understand data and numbers
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to take direction and work independently and in team environment

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $100,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications. Total compensation may also include a discretionary company performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package featuring medical, dental, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefit options, as well as employee product discounts.
