- Days/Shift : 2-week rotating shift structure: Week 1: 6:00am-6:30pm M/Tu/F/Sat on // Week 2: 6:00am-6:30pm Sun/W/Th on // continue rotating

- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.
DESCRIPTION :
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Team Leader, POROS Manufacturing. In this role, you will lead operations on a designated production shift within a 24/7 GMP manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of manufacturing and formulation activities. You will oversee daily floor operations, coordinate personnel and resources to meet production schedules, and partner closely with cross-functional support teams to drive operational success.
This position involves performing and supervising complex manufacturing processes using advanced biopharmaceutical technologies while maintaining strict compliance with GMP and quality standards. You will support process improvements, technology transfers, process validation, and commercial manufacturing activities to ensure consistent product quality and operational excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Builds and cultivates a culture centered around Safety, Quality, and Teamwork to ensure adherence to all safety and quality applicable regulations (i.e. OSHA, ISO13485, etc.).
- Operate various process equipment including reactors, pressure filters, pumps, filling, labeling and packaging equipment according to written SOP’s and UOP’s in a large scale, chemical batch manufacturing process.
- Partners daily with other functional groups like Distribution, Maintenance, Facilities, Engineering, Scheduling, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance to maintain manufacturing schedule.
- Supports recruiting processes to hire new manufacturing technicians and supports training plans of all technicians on the shift.
- Prioritizes, delegates, and completes short term action plans to ensure success of the manufacturing operation.
- Performs manufacturing batch record reviews, provides line clearances, in process testing, and regular production floor Gemba walks.
REQUIREMENTS :
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Life Sciences field preferred
- High School Diploma - Minimum of 5 years of chemical/biotech manufacturing experience plus comparable operations leadership is required
- Bachelor's Degree - 1-3 years of chemical/biotech manufacturing experience plus comparable operations leadership experience required
- Chemical or biotech manufacturing experience preferred, including understanding of chemistry principles such as acids, bases, and organic compounds.
- Demonstrated expertise in GMP/cGMP manufacturing processes, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with DeltaV Process Control Systems and SAP within a cGMP environment preferred.
- Experience supporting process validation, technology transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to align personnel and resources to accomplish daily production objectives and periodic special projects.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing or laboratory systems preferred.
- Ability to train and support team members while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 45 lbs with assistance.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $32.00–$45.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
