Part-Time Activity Assistant

At The Terraces Orleans we believe every resident deserves opportunities for joy, engagement, and connection. We’re looking for a caring and creative Activity Assistant to join our team and help enrich the lives of our residents through meaningful activities and programs.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in planning and leading group and individual activities (recreational, social, and therapeutic).

• Encourage resident participation and provide companionship.

• Help transport residents safely to and from activities.

• Support seasonal and special events (decorations, celebrations, etc.).

• Document participation and resident responses.

• Maintain activity supplies and safe, welcoming activity spaces.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college in recreation therapy, social work, or related field preferred).

• Must be able available to work weekends

• Experience working with seniors or in long-term care a plus.

• Friendly, energetic, and patient with strong communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Flexible to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents (lifting up to 25 lbs).

Benefits

Pay Range: $18 - $22 per hour
