job summary:
Seeking a Piping Cost Estimator for a high growth HVAC company in the Leominster, MA area.

The Piping Cost Estimator is responsible for providing cost estimates and material/labor take offs working closely with engineers and field personnel. Reviews project drawings for the purpose of developing a budget, maintains and organizes department RFQ tracking system along with tracking all installation department sales data. As required, maintains current pricing updates in parts database.

responsibilities:

• Assembles a cost estimate and written proposal that details scope of work. Conducts cost
  analysis, estimating expected costs for the project. Prepares and implements a budget based
  on estimates.

• Manages and oversees the department quoting log documenting key matrix of the quoting
  process.

• Performs follow-up calls to ensure proposal was received and review meeting can be
  scheduled.

• Organizes the pre job documents from the engineer.

• Tracks sales cost of awarded jobs.

• Maintains estimation tool updates.

• Maintains parts database with commonly used parts

• Defines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.

• Performs take off for material ordering as requested.
