Research & Development (R&D) Chef - RESTAURA
- Menu Innovation & Development
- Test new recipes and menu concepts that align with senior nutrition standards, regional preferences, and seasonal availability.
- Incorporate feedback from residents, staff, and culinary teams to refine offerings.
- Ensure all recipes meet regulatory guidelines and dietary restrictions (e.g., low sodium, diabetic-friendly, texture-modified diets).
- Culinary Standards & Training
- Develop and validate standardized recipes and plating guides for consistent execution across multiple sites.
- Input standardized recipe test sheets into our menu management system using specific guidelines to ensure accuracy and alignment
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with dietitians, procurement, and operations to ensure menu feasibility, cost control, and supply chain alignment.
- Work with marketing to standardize recipe tags and marketing descriptions.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in culinary development, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality.
- Strong understanding of senior nutrition, therapeutic diets, and food safety standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Experience with contract food service operations.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with recipe costing software and menu management platforms.
- Passion for enhancing the dining experience for older adults.
