Remote Accountant (Full-Time)

Overview

Are you an experienced accounting professional who would love a part-time, work-from-home position with strong work-life balance? This role offers remote support for multiple clients and a path to full-time engagement during traditional daytime business hours (8:00 am – 5:00 pm in EST, CST, MST, or PST) if desired.

Supporting Strategies uses a cloud-based platform, virtual infrastructure, and proven processes to deliver outsourced transactional, full-cycle accounting services. We have over 100 offices in the U.S. and a nationwide network of professionals and clients.

What You’ll Do

The responsibilities are organized around client delight and team collaboration. You will work directly with clients, learn and implement software, manage internal workflows, and provide guidance to clients. Your day-to-day may evolve as you grow in the role, but you can expect to:

• Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to clients.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices.
• Support client onboarding for assigned engagements in accordance with defined processes.
• Execute processes related to accounts payable and accounts receivable management, bookkeeping entries, monthly closing, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Collaborate with your manager and team to ensure clients are delighted with our services through timely communication.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships within established processes and budgets.
• Identify and recommend additional services or tools to drive client value and efficiency.

• Participate in recurring team and one-on-one video check-ins to stay aligned for success.
• Demonstrate confidence in learning and embracing new technology to solve client issues.
• Accept coaching and implement changes to meet team and client goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly closing, financial reporting, and analysis).
• 1+ years of transactional accounting experience using QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Experience in a multi-client environment preferred.
• Ability to work during business hours (8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, CST, MST, or PST).
• Experience managing day-to-day client relationships within established processes and budgets.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of client data.

Pay and Benefits
