Office assistant - department
The Town of Sandwich Department of Public Works is seeking a Part-Time Office Assistant to work 18 hours per week (Tuesday–Thursday) .
Responsibilities include:
· Creating and processing documents, notices, and correspondence
· Preparing and submitting DOR Fuel Reports
· Assisting with payroll and payment voucher processing
· Maintaining accurate grant and contract records
· Preparing, researching, and collecting information for the Office Manager and Director
· Responding to public inquiries in person and by phone regarding DPW matters (e.g., roads, signage, inspections, rules and regulations)
· Assists in the planning and coordination of Public Works events and community outreach activities.
Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn other software programs
· Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
· Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
· Prior office experience preferred
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 18 hours per week
Salary: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
