Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years X-Ray experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. This role involves operating radiographic equipment, positioning patients safely and comfortably, and capturing high-quality images for radiologist interpretation. Excellent communication is key to explaining procedures and easing patient concerns during exams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct various imaging exams as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Operate and adjust X-ray, CT, and MRI machinery according to established protocols.
- Capture and review diagnostic images for technical accuracy and proper positioning.
- Follow radiation safety practices using protective devices to minimize exposure.
- Maintain precise records in electronic medical systems of all procedures and patient information.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure consistent image quality.
- Monitor radiation dosages and maintain safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with patients to address questions and reduce anxiety.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
- State Radiologic Technologist License is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of radiology technology experience preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) certification is an advantage.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
- Proficient in radiographic equipment operation and EMR usage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Schedule & Location:
- Part-time, 24 hours weekly.
- Day shift: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:30am to 8:00pm.
- Located in Cambridge, MA, near a vibrant academic and medical community with easy access to public transportation, local dining, and cultural amenities.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
