Activity Aide
Essential Functions:
- Assist in evaluating resident recreational needs
- Promote an meaningful and sensory stimulating environment to promote engagement for each resident
- Leads and/or participates in individual and group activities and programs
- Maintains records of activites and attendance
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with standards set out in Affinity Healthcare's Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, all federal and state laws and applicable professional standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. BS in Recreation preferred but not required
- Prior experience with traumatic brain injury preferred but not required
- Knowledge of activity program development
- Skills in the arts including music, art, crafts
- Skills in physical activity
- Enjoys working with those with physical and emotional disabilities
